Continuous provision is the term we use when children are engaged in activities chosen by the children themselves, interacting with the high-quality learning environment available to them, both indoor and outdoor.
In addition, the Nursery staff carefully plan activities which allow the children to explore, experiment and practise their learning. Continuous provision enables staff to engage in high quality interactions and allow children to embed what they know and continue learning.
The learning environment and resources are accessible and available for children, allowing children to develop their independence.
As well as continuous provision, we also have whole class carpet sessions such as story time, dough disco and yoga!
